An investigation of Queensland Corrective Services’ process for the classification, placement and transfer of prisoners
You are here:
This investigation reviewed Queensland Corrective Services’ (QCS) process for the security classification, placement and transfer of prisoners. The report found that there were failures to give adequate reasons to prisoners for decisions by delegates about security classifications and by officers for placement decisions. The report also found that QCS failed to advise all prisoners of their rights under the Corrective Services Act 2006.
